I must say that I really like the look and feel of this watch. The always on face is a great feature as long as you can charge it every night or every other night because it does significantly reduce the battery life. But I prefer having something on my wrist that looks like a regular watch versus the wristband with a solid black face until it you "wake it up". I have had several people stare at my wrist for a few seconds before asking is that a regular watch or is that a smart watch with an analog display? Point being is that the display and the faces are that well done. The only issue I have with this watch is that some of its features will not function without having it connected to a Samsung phone. I expected some functionality differences as stated by Samsung on their website. The biggest disappointing was that I could not install the text messaging app and the UBER app. I can still receive notifications for incoming text messages and read them when they are first received. But without the app, previously read messages can no longer be viewed and you have issues viewing unread messages if more than one message is unread. The UBER app was not even available to be downloaded to the watch. I brought the watch into my local Bestbuy store to the Samsung counter, where the Samsung rep was very helpful. He spent about an hour trying to troubleshoot the missing apps. He tried several things, the last of which was connecting it to a Samsung phone. Once this was done, everything functioned properly. The text messaging app appeared and the UBER app was available for download. It appears that the version of the Samsung gear app which you download to your phone to interact with the watch is different depending on your phone manufacturer. I am not sure if that is the case with all phones, but the version on the Samsung phone was definitely different from what was on my phone. I wish the limitations would have been better known and documented with regards to what does not function without a Samsung phone. For the record, I have a Motorola Droid Turbo 2. Overall all I am still pleased enough with the watch that I decided to keep it despite the current limitations.
