This flavor in the black bottle is the best diet cola flavor offered by Soda Stream at this time. I have tried them all. It tastes very much like coke zero. Avoid the diet cola flavor that comes in a blue bottle. It tastes like RC Cola. Why anyone would emulate that flavor is beyond me but they captured the mistake in a bottle which RC cola with that flavor.
Black bottle = Cola.

It tastes very much like diet mountain dew. I'd have to swig them back to back to tell you the difference and there probably is one. But it is very close and doesn't have any unpleasant flavors.

This might not be their fault. For all I know the FCC says they can't make it any stronger. But the signal strength is poor enough that you had to fiddle with the positioning of the unit in your car to be able to hear it.
Worse, you need to turn the sound up on your car stereo before you can even hear it. And by the time you get it loud enough, you've amplified background static in the FM spectrum to such an extent that the sound quality is poor.
It is too bad. I'll probably have to buy a new stereo simply to get an Audio in jack.

Nothing fancy with this headset. You plug it in, it works. No nonsense. No problems.
I won't pretend to be an audiophile so I can't comment on the sound range etc. However, both the sound in the headset and the mic work just fine. I can hear other people, I can hear music which sounds fine, and other people can hear me. I asked them how I sounded and they said I sounded "fine".
My only complaints are that the cups pinch my ears a bit. My ears are not big and they get touched by either side of the cup which can be uncomfortable. The cord is also very short. Neither of these especially bother me but it has to be said.

what is an upconvert dvd

It is a DVD player that takes in standard definition video and then blows it up to increase the resolution.

Keep in mind, they do not actually increase the definition of the video you're watching. They just increase the resolution. Think of a photograph that gets blow up to be a lot bigger. Sure, it is bigger... but it gets blurrier in the process.

That is basically what an up convert box does. The image generally doesn't look any better or worse after going through the box and I'm a little confused as to why they even exist since most TVs these days will up convert natively.

i have an old rear projection tv will an upconvert dvd player work on it?

Depends on the dvd player. The DVD player will probably need Analog Out to work with an old TV like that.

Your old TV probably either takes the Yellow, Red, and White cable or it just takes a Coaxial cable.

Upconvert DvD players often only have HDMI out. As a result, they probably won't work with a tv like that. However, this will be model by model specific.

What you want to check is the output ports on the DVD player and the input ports on the tv.

Citing the specific model numbers of each unit will help people to answer your question.

Need a home theather system to go with LG - 55" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LED-LCD HDTV

Looking for something with great sound small fooot print and loads of options.
What options are you looking for here specifically? There are some extremely complicated systems that I could recommend but I'm pretty sure you will just find it confusing. Ideally, you want just enough features to do what you need without cluttering up things with lots of features you don't want.

Not only will you pay for those features regardless of whether you use them but the systems tend to have the same simplistic interface regardless of how many options they have. So as you add features the same tiny interface tends to have to control an increasingly complex system.

As such, complexity is not your friend in most cases simply because the interfaces tend to be so limited.

what type of home theater works with insignia plasma 42 inch tv

From what I could gather these are you plugs:

HDMI (version 1.3, HDCP): 1 rear, 1 side
Component: 1 rear
Composite A/V: 1 rear, 1 side
RF: 1 rear
PC input (15-pin, D-Sub): 1 rear
PC audio input: 1 rear
Digital audio output: 1 optical, rear
USB: 1 side
Headphone out: 1 side
RS-232c input: 1 rear

Of these, the best to use for a media center plug in would be your HDMI connector. Any system that has HDMI output should be fine for your tv.

Looking for an outdoor stereo unit, the one i have got wet and doesnt work any suggestions??

Personally, I like the portable bluetooth speakers. You can move them around so they're in just the right place and you can link them to your cell phone or tablet to provide sound.

If you don't like that... try either the Sonos system or contact an installer to run cable, drill holes, and install a classic system.

how can i find an amp?

I'm looking for a new amp cause mine want out for my surround sound system that i have.
I think you're actually asking for a "subwoofer" . Search for one of those instead and I think you'll find it is what you want.

Is the surround sound and "Theater System" only work while a DVD is played?

Hello,
I purchased this item in the store with the help of a store associate. I approached him and explained that I was retired law enforcement and very hard of hearing. I have had to become proficient with subtitles, however, while the use of subtitles has become the norm for me, it really bothers others who try to watch television with me, and subtitles get in the way of other information that may be displayed on the screen (name, organization, etc). But the problem is that I still have the old tube-type televisions. They still work great and I cannot afford the large flat-screen televisions. I asked my son to install/set up the system for me and everything seems to work fine with one exception: the speakers are only utilized while the DVD player is on and playing. Not exactly what I wanted. I would think "Home Theater System" should include the use of the surround sound while watching something on the television (cable programming). Is this correct or am I missing something? If it only works for the DVD player, I would think that the use of the term "Home Theater System" has been used entirely too narrowly here and would consider this a definitive case of false advertisement, not to mention the sales associate not knowing the products sold. So surely I'm not using this right, correct? Any and all help is surely appreciated!
For the system to output sound from an external source, you have to run that sound through the system.

I assume you've got some sort of broadcast television signal coming in either from a cable box or perhaps form an over the air box.

Regardless, it has to run THROUGH this system for it to output the sound. If you do that, then you can use the remote that came with this unit to select your desired source and you'll get output from that source.

You have to be patient with these things and make sure the wiring is correct or you'll get oddness.
