After installing the Zagg shield on my watch, I wasn't bothered by the black edge covering a very slight portion of the watch face. I thought it looked clean, like it was meant to be there. Unfortunately, I bumped it against a doorway the first day and it popped off and spiderweb-cracked about half of the face of the cover. It did protect my watchface, which was good. I tried to get it replaced by BestBuy, but they told me I had to contact Zagg for warranty service. I did so, and almost a month later, I still don't have a replacement, which cost $5.99 shipping. I did have someone at Zagg customer service offer to refund the shipping once my product shipped, but so far that hasn't happened. We will see.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This screen cover was not difficult to apply, and protects most of the screen. I agree with other reviewers that it makes some areas along the edges of the screen hard to use with touch control. Other than that though, it offers enough protection that I feel comfortable letting my 17 month old daughter play with my watch (supervised, of course!).

This case is sturdy and offers great protection, while not adding a ton of bulk or weight to the phone. I don't like that I can't plug it into some devices without removing the case, but I rarely do that anyway, so it's not a big deal. It's a little slick on the back - I'd prefer it to have a little more grip to prevent it from sliding off of surfaces.

I haven't tried it with one specifically, but it should. It adds a very minimal amount to the depth of the phone.
