The LG 55EC9300 55" OLED TV is everything the reviewers say ... and even more. It is by far and away the best picture I've ever seen - beats the 4Ks (possibly not the new LG 65" OLED 4K - too new to comment and $9K). The new Sony and Samsung LEDs etc. And it's (only) 1080p. But in 55" you don't notice the difference - even sitting fairly close as I do l- about 5 feet away. The colors are spot on out of the box with great contrast and clarity. I found the picture too bright for my room (!) so I dialed it down a bit and it's like looking out a window - which takes some getting used to. I've owned other sets in the past, including the Samsung 8500 Plasma (the only other set to come close to this one) but this beats 'em all by a wide margin. Best Buy and LG have been putting this set on sale of late - watch out for that and run to your nearest Best Buy and grab one before they change their minds!

OLED and burn in...

Is this an issue like Amoled phones can have?
Doesn't appear to be a problem - they seem to have licked it as the current LG OLEDs are third generation with very bright pictures (too bright for my room - I had to dial mine back a bit to avoid a headache). If you don't run them at full brightness - the life appears to be about normal for an LED-based TV.
