This is a great fridge for under $2k. Lots of LED lights, very customizable shelves, spacious door storage, and a nice design. DO NOT USE THE LG SUPPLIED WATER FILTER!! Throw it out immediately!! After wasting nearly 10 gallons of water trying to flush the plastic taste out of the filter, I gave up and bought a Culligan filter, which only took 2 quarts to clear the foul taste and odor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it dispense room temperature water?

There is about 2 cups of water that is chilled, after that it's the temp from the line.

does the ice maker work seamlessly without spills? A friend had this model and experienced problems with it. Not sure if this was since corrected?

We have no issues with either the ice or water. You just have to hold the container directly under the hole... Which is easy because you should be pressing the switch with the container anyway.

DOES THIS REFERIGERATOR HAVE LIGHTING ON THE SIDE OF THE REFRIGERATOR

The lighting is at the top-middle of the fridge and the top-middle of the freeser.
