Is this a vented dryer? Does this dryer have an ongoing beeping sound until you take the clothes out(Whirlpool appliances are so annoying with all the beeping - wish there was a beep bypass control)

We like the idea that it runs off 120V as we don't have a 220V connection convenient to the spot we want to put it in. But we have some concern over the ability of the dryer to do an effective job of drying at that low voltage. Can you comment on that?
