What's great about it: Tons of utility, love the Bluetooth!

What's not so great: Can't think of anything bad... longer cables for the small speakers for the rear possibly

This came as a unit, basically plug and play. Very intuitive, I just plugged the optical port into my TV & turned the tv speakers off, then plugged in the subwoofer, routed the rear speakers (needed cable extentions which I had in my own private cable nest) and I was done. Never even read the manual.

I would recommend this to a friend!

what is refurbished

In this case it would mean the device was renovated from some dysfunction to a state of functionality, by some restorative process, which more than likely includes replacing dysfunional parts by trained service engineers

Are the satellite speackers wireless also

They don't function if not connected to the subwoofer

How do you connect to entertainment center? (Surround sound system)

This isn't a passive system ie you have a receiver with surround sound and you want to use this also.

Not compatible, to use both surround sound systems at once.

Go optical from your TV out to the sound bar

Hdmi from your receiver to your TV
