I love my Roku1... Obviously easy to set up, add channels via the Roku or your PC, the remote is an added benefit.. There are many free channels & videos or some pay channels too either way I love my Roku..

Is there a econimical device like the Roku that is also a digital conveter for older TVs?
Is there a econimical device like the Roku that is also a digital conveter for older TVs? I need one that is compatable with Timewarner cable.
The Roku1 is adaptable for all TV's you just may have to buy a converter cable like I did but its just a plug in cable..

Roku stick- can not get it to connect
I called Roku and the representative had me try many things, none of which worked. He said that the Roku couldn't be more than 25 feet from the router. Any farther than that and he said it wouldn't pick up a signal. When I bought this product at Best Buy, I was told it was very easy to use. All that I have read says it is easy to use and no where have I seen it mentioned that you have to be so close to your router. Some people say that they have five Roku in their homes, so they couldn't all be within 25 feet of the router, could they? I really want this to work so that I can get rid of my cable. Has anyone else had this problem? I have Verizon fios high speed internet.
Well I don't have the stick I have the Roku1 box & mine is more then 25 ft from my Verizon router.. I had the Chromecast stick before I had the Roku1 box & same TV , same spot, same distance & it worked fine I returned that for other issues & got the Roku1.. Make sure the stick is plugged into the HDMI port correctly that could be your problem & your TV must be HD.. I decided on the Roku1 box as opposed to the streaming stick due to reviews of the stick on the Roku website.. Hope this helps you & good luck .. I love my Roku #CutTheCord
