Excellent frig, quiet even when ice maker drops cubes! Love it. Only one thing I think could be improved. Sides are textured black but the doors are flat smooth black & like stainless steel shows fingerprints. It's a small thing considering so many refrigerators are so noisey, even high dollar ones!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is the black model smudge proof?

No it's not, but it's less noticeable than stainless steel.
