This NAS was easy to set up and has some nice features with its easy interface. I like that it will send me an email, if I so chose, when it loses power (obviously after power is restored) or network connectivity.
It is very fast when paired with my gigabit router.
Sure, it's not a RAID, but look at the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We used to have a dehumidifier. The old one died a few years ago. This summer we noticed a musty smell in out basement. I did a lot of research and saw that this one had good reviews. So, I ordered it.
Within a couple days the smell was gone. I hooked up a hose to the drain plug so I never have to empty the bucket.... and it's pretty quiet.
I was also concerned that because I had no choice but to plug it into the same circuit as my pool filter that it would trip the breakers, but so far it has not. Therefore, not drawing too much electricity.
I like it, it works perfectly and I would encourage you to buy it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can I backup MyCloud to an Off-site Hard drive or MyCloud?

Planning for an NAS at the office but I want a redundant Backup at an offsite location. Not able to use a cloud storage/backup service like DropBox or CrashPlan at this time
Not sure if this will entirely answer your question... but here's what I do.

I have two NAS devices and I have them stored in two separate locations in my house. I use one as a network drive and the other as a back up.

I use a program (free) called synctoy from Microsoft that I set up to once a day compare the contents of both drives and make any changes. Kind of like a cheap RAID system.

Works great for me.

Constant Drain

Can I hook up a hose for constant draining?
Yes you can. It comes with a piece about 5 inches. You flip open a little door on the side of the unit, screw in that piece I just mentioned and hook up your own hose. I did this and have it draining to my sump. Works perfectly. Set it up and forget about it.
