This thing controls it all! From my Nest to my lights, TV, BluRay, Receiver, cable box...it does it all! It even works behind closed doors thanks to the wireless hub and 2 included IR boasters. And it has an app for your iPhone or iPad!

Other Rooms
Will this remote control components located behind a wall? The TV is mounted on the family room wall but all components, including BluRay, direcTV box etc are on the other side of the wall under the stairs.
Yes! You can place the Hub by the components under the stairs and the remote by the TV. The remote will use Raf to communicate with the hub to control your components and should be able to control your TV from the remote directly.

Does it transmit RF and IR signals, or just RF?
All my components are in the closet, but I would not be able to run an IR cord from the closet back to the TV...so...I would need the remote to send both RF and IR signals?
The remote does seem to have its own IR transmitter at the top of it. I would test it out with the hub in the closet and the remote by your TV.

does the remote and the hub need wifi to work with devices
like to control tv or dvd player does it need wifi
Yes, during initial setup you will need to set up the hub to connect to your WiFi network. The remote will use RF to communicate with the hub, but the Harmony apps will connect to the Hub!

Can I replace the LG Smart TV Remote and use the Logitech Harmony Elite to perform all of the same functions as the LGremote?

There are no batteries! It has its own rechargeable battery and charging cradle.
