Windows setup was easy. Using it for Linux was a little more difficult. The normal partitioning software only supported 2TB size drives. A newer partition software was needed.

The unit is replacing one that was damaged by an electrical service issue. One side of an industrial 3 phase line dropped at the pole causing sparks & smoke from the old unit. The pc was undamaged.

What's not so great: Occasionally excel sreadsheets don't print all of the gridlines.
A good general purpose printer, copier, scanner. Good print speed even in color. Copier works good in b/w and color. Has some issues when printing large spreadsheets.

I have an machine T5212 what would be the best hard drive for it.
The emachine specs would indicate any manufactures 3.5 inch internal SATA drive should work ok. It is an older machine and you may have issues with drives over 1TB in size.

how do you hook up a modem when you don't have a cable box, only basic cable from a wall outlet?
suddenlink cable only thru a wall outlet no cable box
First, be sure your cable provider has internet available and the modem you plan on using is compatible. If yes to both of these questions then you will need a coax cable splitter to split the signal to the tv and modem. You will also need a couple of cables to go to the modem and tv from the splitter. Be sure to get a good quality splitter.

You have a couple of options. One would be to install a wireless adapter card in the computer itself. The installation will require opening the pc and plugging the card into the motherboard. The other way for the less technically savvy person is to buy a USB wireless adapter. It's easier to install but may have a limited distance of use from the wireless router.

My wireless feature does not reach in my master bedroom. Do I need a new router.
You may, if the wireless router you currently have is several years old. The newer wireless router technology has improved antennae and radio performance. You didn't say how far the bedroom is from your wireless router and what may be in between you and the current router location. Large metal objects, certain building materials, and motors all can interfere with a wireless connection.

is a gigabit router worth it
I am thinking about getting a new wireless router. I stream allot of HD video on my roku HD & my kindle fire HD. Is a gigabit router worth investing in. The roku is only wireless there is no Ethernet cable port.
A lot of things figure into the answer to your question. Do you have a high speed internet service? If not then the fastest router will move data no faster than your service provides. Does the roku wireless support the faster wireless protocols? If not then again the faster router will do you no good. You need to take a good look at least at both of these points before moving forward with your purchase.

Powerline Network adapter
Is it true for the powerline network adapter to work effectively is to have transmitter and receiver have to be in the same circuit breaker? Or it doesn't matter?
The same circuit breaker is the safest answer but the powerline adapters will work equally as well if they are one the same 110v side of the breaker box. This is usually every other breaker in the box, but it does very with the breaker box manufacture. You may need to check with an electrician to be sure.
