I had reservations about buying a big ipad, but now I am convinced that this big ipad provides the best user experience and is worth the buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got a bit fed up with my ipad mini retina because it was getting too heavy and also I hate the "feature" to disable zoom on websites. In Android Firefox on my Dell Venue 8 7000, I could turn off the websites disabling zoom. But there are pros and cons when comparing this to an iPad. No one tablet is perfect anyway.
One thing noteworthy is that the speaker is reasonably good, but definitely not as good and loud as one of those small round vibration speakers. The iPad speaker is just a piece of trash, can't hardly hear anything at top volume. My iPad front camera is also slanted which also makes it a pain to use when calling Skype.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good sound and volume, Poor playback functionality

For the sound quality and volume of this player, I would give it 5 stars. The shell also looks and feels really nice. No complaints on these points.
For the playback functionality, I would give it 2 stars. Whether you copy files onto the device itself, or if you attach a micro SD card, the playback will work. There are a few catches here. The playback will only resume if you don't switch off the power, and don't switch the input source. Therefore, don't use this as the music player if you have a huge playlist. You will have to keep listening to the same songs from the beginning many times.
I also don't like the controls too much. When you try to change the input source, there is a pause of a few seconds before you can know what is going on. It is too slow. I also don't like the volume control. You have to press the volume button, and then press the forward/backward buttons. There is no visual indication whatsoever, which is a bit annoying.
Overall, I think the sound quality and volume is really excellent, but the playback functionality really needs more work in order for it to be truly useful. One minimum bar is to remember the last played position even after you turn off the power.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How much does the Venue 8 7000 weigh? How long does a full charge last?

I have a wallpaper that animates and under normal use of about 2 hours per day, I need to charge about once every 3-5 days.

Why are the Aux, Mute and Bluetooth Lights blinking white when connected to AC and not charging?

The device was working fine, then stopped. I've charged it 12 hours, still won't turn on. Tried the Mute reset option, get the 3 blinking indicators and then nothing. The only response I get is when I plug it into AC power, the 3 lights go on and then turn off, and I hear static. What is going on!? Firmware update also tried, device isn't detected (aux button does nothing when pressed)
I think it is just spoilt. I would take it back to BestBuy for a full refund or store credit if I were you. Mine was spoilt in the way that the playback started playing by itself if I leave the power on! Hence, quality isn't really too great.
