This dvd player does the job for us to use with an older television that is not digital. It was easy to set up and has a remote control that has several options. It does not record, it is only a player but we did not want something that recorded for use with the older tv set.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I dropped cable and use an HD outdoor antenna but my older vcr/dvd player-recorder still only works with analog. I bought the converter to use it for recording on that device. It works ok except it does get a little warm and you have to be sure and check the settings. Default shuts it down automatically after 4 hrs unless you turn that off in settings. Other than that is works ok.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this at Best buy and tried to follow directions for hockup and is there someplace for more detailed directions as my tv is on channel 2 and the dvd lights up,but no playing the DVD? Thanks

If you are connecting via the rca connections that came with the recorder then you should be able to select a line input on your tv set. Channel 2 will not work with a line input setup.
