I spent more money on this one hoping to be able to quick charge my Motorola Turbo 2 but it apparently only does the quick charge on other brands.

Works great with my surface pro 2. Would be nice if it were gigabit but those were more expensive and I only use it occasionally when I'm not on WiFi

I buy only Western Digital drives since the rate of failure is much less than other brands in my experience (10 years IT support) but still be sure to back up your data. I am using these to back up my server. It's a lot of storage for the money.

Can this product be connected to a router to give me a centralized storage location available via WiFi?

It depends on the router, but yes. As long as your router supports the NAS feature this drive should work. Read the Owners Manual for your device to see what the requirements are before purchasing this one.

Can I use as a mirror (image) and a backup drive?

I'd like to use this to create both an image or mirror of my system in case of crash, but also use for creating an incremental backup. Is that possible?
It would depend on the software you are using to back up your machine. Windows 7 has a built in image backup software (windows backup) that starts with an image of your machine and then does incrementals automatically. You could also purchase various backup programs that do the same thing such as Symantec desktop backup or Acronis desktop backup. Windows 8 did away with the automatic image backup but you can do a file level only backup automatically with it. Win 8/8.1 require third party software for what you are looking to do. The WD drives come with a basic file level backup tool which I'm sure you are aware of.
