Not a touch screen but sometimes, I actually like having buttons anyway. Was fairly easy to set up on the computer but we still have some kinks to iron out with our media box settings. TV, receiver, BluRay and DVR all worked out fine. Only thing I don't like is that it takes a solid push on the buttons to activate them so if I don't push enough or too fast, sometimes I don't accomplish what I meant to. Was affordable though so after a while, if we want to upgrade, we won't feel bad about getting rid of it and it's doing the job in the meantime.
I would recommend this to a friend!

will the logitect - harmony 650 remote work with Dish dvr vip622 reciver
Works with our DirecTV DVR so I would think it would be fine for Dish also.

Worked for our DirecTV DVR so I can't see why it wouldn't work for Comcast.

How many activities can you program?
Three. (To be fair, it does have a button that reads "More Activities" but I haven't figured out how to work that and online, it only showed three programmable activities.)

Does it know what devices are already on?
Does this remote remember what devices are already on? For example, if I am watching TV and I decide to play my Xbox One (and hit the Xbox or Gaming Programmed Activity) does it realize the TV is already on and just change the input or will it run the command to turn the TV on, which turns the TV off?
We've gone from watching a BluRay to watching TV and it didn't turn off the TV.

Will this remote work with devices that are remotely located in a closet?
Probably not if you don't already have or get a signal relay. We already had that setup so it wasn't an issue for us.

Will this work operate the smart tv functions on a LG smart tv
Will this also work with a bose hometheater speaker system, directv box, and bluray player
We have a Smart TV also but don't use it much but I can tell you that in doing my programming, the remote accurately queues up Netflix using the Smart TV. I'm sure there are some limitations though but you can add a lot of options per device to the options that come up on the screen. You would just have to move from screen to screen to use them.

What comes with the remote ?
Do you had to purchase IR & Flasher To work with the Control, because all my components are locate in the Closet ?
We already had a relay system in place to send signals from the one receiver attached to our TV to all the devices in the component closet. The remote didn't come with anything but we didn't have to purchase it either because it was already installed. I imagine, you'd have to install one too, if you don't already have one.

Are there any remotes available compatible with Charter equipment that don't require "line of sight"?
Charter provides remotes with their equipment that require "line of sight" with their receivers. Are there any receivers available that are compatible with Charter equipment that don't require "line of sight"?
Don't what it's called exactly but we have a signal receiver attached at the corner of our TV that relays a line-of-sight command to the other receivers that are attached to all the devices in a closet. So, even though we only have line-of-sight with our TV, remotes for all our equipment get to them in the component closet. It's a great system. Sorry I don't know exactly what it's called.
