What's great about it: Removable and cleanable filters.
What's not so great: Nothing!
During this hot(even for Houston)summer, this appliance saved my hide until I could get my central air fixed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The black plastic drain fitting on back of unit is NOT threaded correctly for standard garden hose. This is an OEM/Supplier Quality Failure.

The thread profile (pitch, flanks, and crest) are incorrect, and the thread major diameter is incorrect (undersize), and therefore the garden hose (new) will NOT mate. See attached photos.

Please e-mail me for my mailing address, so that you can send me a correctly threaded drain hose fitting. Otherwise, I will return this Frigidaire unit to Best Buy and buy another dehumidifier from another OEM.

The fitting is plastic(PVC), so if it is cross-threaded, you will need another one. It is important to start the threads correctly, but it does work on a standard garden hose fitting.

my unit is 2 years old. flexible hose pops out of connections

Is there a way to secure the hose at both ends? It occasionally pops out at the window and sometimes where it is connected to the unit. I have tried taping it but it doesn't last.
Some other brands(newer units) have addressed this problem in their design. Help
I used the self-adhesive insulated strip that came with the unit to secure the window end of the hose to the part that is secured to the window. It works very well.
