We didn't want a fridge with an ice maker. (No plumbing for it where the fridge is located, so wasted space.) And we also wanted a more spacious side-by-side freezer. It's rare to get both in a side-by-side, so we were pleased to find this model. We've only had it for a few days, but so far so good, except that it comes with a shelf too few in the fridge section, but plenty of room to add one, so I ordered another shelf, as well as another shelf for the door, and we will have plenty of storage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

do the doors come off for a tight delivery area?

We were told they can come off, but the delivery men opened the doors of the fridge and angled them into the room without having to take them off to get through our door that was narrower than the fridge with the doors closed. It worked fine.
