This microwave looks awesome with all the other appliances. The only fall back is that it doesn't include a lit selection key board/pad..can't see the numbers or items clearly..otherwise love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Without using the auto defrost or quick defrost, can the power level be lowered and time set for the defrost:.

There is a Power Level button above the Start button. Push button then choose number of power percentage you want and time you want for defrosting.

Besides the depth of the microwave, does it need any further clearance in the rear for the power cord?

Depends on where your oullet is located. If behind microwave, then yes, for plug.

Can it heat something that's in a 9x13 Pyrex dish?

No, as 13" is too long to fit on the turntable. The turntable is 12" diameter.
