Love this flash! It works great with my Nikon D7000. I will admit that it does take a bit of learning on how to get it to sync wirelessly. But once this is accomplished it gives you so many options.

Could this be used for a nikon d7000?
Yes, I works brilliantly with my D7000. Just remember to read through the manual for getting the wireless remote flash settings right for what you want.
