What's great about it: Quiet, able to turn itself on and off as needed
What's not so great: frequent filter maintenance
When we bought our home 6 years ago, it came with a dehumidifier that pretty much ran non-stop since it was purchased in the early 1970s. Yes, really, - the previous owners actually left us the instruction manual & receipts!
When it finally died, we were happy to buy this more energy-efficient unit & so far, it's worked great. It doesn't have to run non-stop, is quieter, prettier (not like that really matters in our unfinished basement) lighter-weight, and drains directly into the floor drain via the hose, rather than just draining across the floor.
The musty smell that had begun when the old one quit was gone within a few hours & we've been happy with it's performance over the past month. Having to clean the filter every 2 weeks seems a bit excessive, but it's not hard to do, just hard to remember to do. I couldn't tell if I was actually rinsing stuff off of the filter or just getting it wet.... it didn't appear to have any debris or gunk on it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to use, clothes are clean.
What's not so great: Not great at removing stains & heavily soiled items.
I researched extensively before this purchase - so I expected it to be a little on the noisy side, which it can be in parts of the cycle, but it's in our basement so not an issue for us.
I like being able to see into the washer via the glass top, and I don't. At times, the clothes seem only damp and with so little water in the machine, I wonder if they're truly getting clean and rinsed well. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for the moment; this is my first HE machine. It just makes me a bit nervous to see the clothes being agitated, kinda roughly I think, when they're only sitting in about an inch of water & most of the fabric is damp at best. I wish it had more spin-speed options and the option to 'add water'.
So far the only problem has been a white shirt of my husband's. It got some kind of black stain around it - possibly from his belt - and despite pre-treating & adding OxiClean with the powdered detergent, it didn't come out clean. I tried soaking it & putting it back in with other items - and that time it came out with pink stains on it that looked like they could have been from other clothing, except that none of the items should have bled. I washed in cold water, didn't use any bleach, and all items in the washer were old & had been washed many times before. No other clothing was stained with the pink color.
Soaking the shirt in OxiClean in the sun wouldn't get the pink out. That's the first shirt I've ruined in years - perhaps decades. I've had a few other items that haven't come out stain-free so that's my only complaint. Yes, I did use the Heavy Soil setting.
When the tub is rotating for the spin, it often seems to be completely unbalanced - but I'm guessing it's normal because I haven't ever had the unbalanced load alarm go off.
The delay start is a feature I thought I'd never use, but it has been amazingly useful and helpful. I love the loud buzzer - I can hear it from upstairs when the wash is done. I can't wait to find out how much energy I'm saving vs. my 15-yr-old machine; I know I'm already saving money by using less detergent and fabric softener.
I was pleased to be able to clean several pillows and our queen-sized winter comforter without having to go to the laundromat.
Overall, I have been pleased with my Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5800BW for the month that I've owned it.
This product is or has... A great water saver, All the cycles I need, Energy efficient, Big enough capacity for a comforter, Acceptable level of noise, Doesn't vibrate my house, Easy to use controls
About me... Looking for energy savings, Budget Conscious, Always get the deal, End of cycle signal gets my attention, small family, want quality long-lasting products, usa-built product consumer

when operating does it heat up the room or is it cool operating

The air blowing out of the top of it feels cool, and so does the unit. However, we are using it in our unfinished basement, which may have something to do with the temperature. I hope this little bit of info is helpful.

Can you buy a best buy warranty?

Yes - and I did.
The dehumidifier we had before this one was from the 1970's. The home's previous owners actually left us the owner's manual and receipt. It ran nearly non-stop for 40-some-odd years. But they don't build things like that anymore. The research I did on Consumer Reports and other review sites indicate the life expectancy these days is maybe 3 years at best. I got the Best Buy warranty to help cover what it seems will be the inevitable breakdown of the unit.

Is installation included in the price of a $649.00 Whirlpool Washer

I understand that hoses are sold separately but does the price of hoses include attaching them and doing a trial run?
Sorta kinda but not really. The guys who delivered mine hooked up the hoses - but they didn't properly level the machine on our sloping basement floor, and didn't start it up for testing. I'm glad I didn't pay extra for their 'service'.

does this model have eco boost?

Yes, it does. I have enjoyed trying out various settings to try to get the 'best' energy efficiency. Sometimes, you just NEED to use more water, or more time (& therefore energy) to appropriately wash things. It's nice to be reminded, though, that there are ways I can lessen my footprint & the EcoBoost option on the Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5800BW helps me do that.
Hope that helps you!
