I purchased this to replace my Belkin router that I had been happy with. With three teenage children in the house, I have anywhere from 7 to 15 active WIFI devices at any given time. Considering that at least one of them or their friends is generally streaming music or videos, I have had no issues. When I first set it up, we ran an experiment where we streamed video from Netflix and youtube(HD) to 3 iPhones, 2 Windows 8.1 devices, an Xbox360, and Xbox 1, an IPad 1 and a droid phone at the same time and we saw no significant buffering except on the iPad. It would be convenient to have more wired connections, but this is hardly a show stopper. Firmware is pretty straight forward. Easy to set up even where my environment is complex with multiple SSIDs and VPN.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had purchased a pair of these earbuds prior to this purchase. Both time the earbuds lasts less than two weeks. I work out frequently and I had assumed that I had snagged them or something so I bought a second pair. When the second pair failed within a week, I got curious and xRayed them (I have access to a Electronics Manufacturing X-Ray through work). The wires on one were separated from the contacts and the other was nearly so. Poor quality control twice in a row? Not an accident.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can this device be used as a wireless access point plugged into a LAN on an existing wired network?

Will the router interfere with the wired router that manages the wired network?
That is how it is designed to work.

does this router support two xbox ones with no proplems and open NATS
I am running an Xbox-360 and an Xbox 1 (and anywhere from 5-17 additional devices active) with no issues. I wouldn't expect you to have problems
