What's great about it: Price, Install
What's not so great: Leaves little room for TV cables.
Great wall mount for the price. However, it does leave little room for HDMI cables between the wall and the TV. I do have HDMI pullouts on the wall that allows the cables to be run inside the wall. Great for not seeing the cables run down from the TV to the cable box, but this mount leaves little room to plug the cables in. If you need extra room between your TV and wall for multiple HDMI cables, this may not be the wall mount for you. Otherwise, great mount with easy install and value.

The best buy salesperson talked me out of the TV I wanted to purchase for this CHEAPER Samsung, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase! Its probably the best TV for the price that Best Buy is offering right now. It is not a smart TV, but that issue is easily solved with an Apple TV.

can I control it using the DirectTv remote?

Yes, when I had my Direct TV installed, the installing was able to program the Direct TV remote to control the sound bar.
