how is this connected to a PC?

My PC is a little out of range from the router. I need to move the router a little closer to get better reception. Will this device help? And do I connect it to the PC or the router or to something else?
This extender may help depending on the distance. I would try it. Worked for me. Connects wirelessly to the router.
