Wireless Router to Boost Cell Phone Signal
Is there a wireless router that has the option of plugging in the cell phones numbers of the users to boost the signal on a cell phone. I live in a garden apartment and have terrible service in it. A friend of mine had a router that he was able to plug 4-5 peoples cell phone numbers into that boosted there signal. I do not see any one your website though. Please advise
No there isn't a wireless router of this type that can do what you are looking for. I have seen cellular providers supply "Micro Cell" units that you can connect to your internet connection and they make a cellular network of their own, connecting you to the cellular provider via the internet. You would have to inquire with your service provider to find out if they have one available.
Maybe you can find out where your friend got theirs? Brand and model would be very helpful.

What do I need to purchase in order to make this happen?
I have just bought a Dell Inspiron 17R and want to utilize its wireless capabilities. I currently have a DSL modem with ATT. The laptop will be the only computer that will be utilizing the internet.
Is there currently a router plugged in to the DSL modem? Maybe a wired router without wireless? If so, replace that hardware with a new wireless router and configure per included instructions.

Across the street there is free public internet. I can access it for most browsing, but I would like a stronger signal, will this do that?

I don't think that it will. What you should try is a wireless repeater. Linksys has some good ones that are pretty easy to configure from a smart phone.

completely depends on what is between them. Move the router around and see if you can get a better line of transmission. Higher is usually better, and if you can, completely relocate it nearer the TV.
