I purchased this machine for a friend who could not successfully use a cell phone. This machine is easy to use and numbers are large and the screen for incoming calls is very legible. My friends eye sight is poor but he could see the numbers. Cell phone was to small for his hand .I am happy with this purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Why does the info on this product say it has an audible new message alert & people who have bought it say it doesn't. I really need to hear that I have a new message D/t visual problems. Thanks for any clarification on this subject
It flashes when you have a new message. After you listen to the message it no longer flashes. If another call comes in after you listen to your messages it will flash. No sound only a flashing orange light

does this phone's answering machine feature work with a Verizon fiber optic phone line? my current phone's digital answering machine feature doesn't. Thanks!
I have it set up the Comcast Xfinity. So I am not sure. I think it Century Link does also. It is called the Voice and runs through coaxial outlet. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Can this phone be used with the cox landline? This does not require the usage of tapes to record correct?
The built in answer machine works fine. Digital so no need for tapes. Works on The co axial system Voice .

I connected this for a friend where Comcast is in the whole building. Using the Voice system which is coaxial. The phone I purchased does not have tape seems OK.
Will post again if there is a problem. Caller ID is good. Phone is simple to use for people who can not even deal with cell phones.
