Can I use this headset for ps4 and pc/laptop?

Definitely woks with the ps4. It'll plug right into the USB port in front of the console. However, to plug into the controller, you'll need an adapter that separates voice and sound.

does it work for smaller heads like for example a kid?

My 11 yr old son uses this and it fits quite well. On its smallest size setting, it would probably fit someone younger..
