The visual improvement from Xbox One X over its predecessors is immediately obvious and the physical product itself is much improved. No more power brick, the matte finish, the 4K blu-ray player, 4k game play. Microsoft finally got it right with Xbox One X.

Bought the 49" TCL with Roku for my daughter. Picture does not get as bright as my Samsung KU6300, but the Samsung costs over 2xmore. Roku smart platform is the best on market. Better than Samsung, much better than Sony android tv. Colors really look great in Smite game on Xbox One. If you care about HDR the P series of TCL will give better picture but at 2xPrice. This tv has good over air reception, works great with Playstation Vue, easy to setup. Highly recommended with no regrets!

Bought the 55" Samsung KU6300 on sale for $787 instead of Sony XBR710C for $900. Samsung boasted of HDR, but I later learned that this model does not have color depth to benefit from HDR. The Sony had native 120Hz while Samsung is just 60Hz. Decided to save the $100 price difference since the Samsung is a 2016 model while Sony is a 2015. After about 2 weeks of using the Samsung, I had serious buyers remorse. If you use the smart apps built into the samsung, the navigation is sluggish and it seems like the apps suspend to background instead of started fresh every time you launch them because the vudu app often has trouble establishing a network connection despite the TV being connected with ethernet cable on 50Mbps network. Three times in the first 2 weeks, the TV would stop responding and powering off would not reset things. The only fix was to pull the power cord from the TV then reinsert it to cold boot the TV. Even basic functions like update system software would sometimes mysteriously gray out in the menu selection and say feature not available now. Wtf?! Cold boot would correct the behavior, but what a pain! I would have returned Samsung for Sony, but unfortunately the Sony XBR810C has become impossible to find in stock. I decided to stop using smart apps of samsung TV and use amazon fire tv instead. Since then, no more cold boots have been needed. The Samsung remote is a pathetic piece of garbage with no number keys to select channel!? I don't think I would buy this Samsung TV if I had it to do over, but there is a significant price increase to ho to the nicer KSxxxx Samsungs and in stock Sonys. Hopefully Samsung will release bug fix software updates soon.

What's great about it: Charges controllers quickly without needing USB cables
What's not so great: It's a little awkward resting the controller on the stand so that it makes contact with the electrical connectors
This charges my Dualshock 4 controllers quickly and doesn't take up much table space because it is arranged vertically. It comes with two small dongle-like adapters that plug into the micro-USB connector on each controller. You will leave the dongle in place all the time as it fits snugly to the controller and will not fall off accidentally during play. When you are done playing and ready to charge, you just turn off the controller as normal, and rest the bottom of the controller in the cradle, then as it rocks into place, the electrical connectors on the dongle come into contact with the electrical connectors on the charging stand. Voila, the light bar on the controller will pulse with orange light while charging, then turn off when the controller battery is fully charged. The battery stand itself has a blue led bar for both charging ports that lights up when a controller is charging and goes dark when fully charged or no controller is mounted in the cradle.

What's great about it: Lots of extra HDMI ports for my TV
What's not so great: It is kind of expensive, but I now think it's worth every penny
I bought this HDMI switch because my TV only had 2 HDMI ports and I needed more because I have a Xbox One, Samsung bluray player, Playstation 4 and cable set top box that all use a HDMI cable.
With this device, I now only run one HDMI cable to my TV, and I never have to monkey around with my TV remote to switch its inputs. This has made the process of using my devices much easier my wife and kids because it is much less complicated.
Video quality is excellent and the included remote control works well. There is also a button on the device that lets you select the input you want to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Everything works as advertised and it powers on fast
What's not so great: No youtube app yet, could use a couple more USB ports
I have owned a Xbox One for eight months, and I finally grew fed up with the constant malfunctions that required me to reboot the console or restart the app or just plain lost game recordings that failed to record never to be seen again. I decided to buy a PS4 and give it a try. What a breath of fresh air! Everything works, never have had to reboot the console in the month I've owned it except for the system software update. The share button has worked everytime, but I wish I only had to press it once to save a video clip. Instead I hit the share button, then wait for the prompt, then hit the square button to save the video clip. Not quite as seamless as Xbox Record That, but much more reliable. I wish you could share the game recordings with friends on the Playstation activity feed, but currently you can only share to Facebook. I don't use Facebook, so I copy the videos to a USB thumb drive, then upload them to youtube from my PC. Youtube sharing has been promised in an update later this Fall, so I'm looking forward to that. Battlefield 4 runs great on the PS4, and there is rarely any sluggishness. On Xbox One, accessing Battlelog from the game is so sluggish it makes you think the console locked up and will often kick you out of game due to timeouts. On the PS4, accessing Battlelog is quick and responsive and I have never been kicked from a match in the month I have owned the PS4. In addition, Levolution events in Battlefield will bring the Xbox One to its knees with horrible frame rate loss leaving you unable to do anything for several seconds until the building finishes collapsing, but on the PS4, the Levolution events only cause a minor hiccup in frame rate and sometimes are not even noticable. This is the clearest example to me of how much more powerful the PS4 is in relation to the Xbox One. If you are on the fence deciding between and Xbox One and a PS4, my advice is the get the PS4, you won't regret it!
I also bought the Sony Gold Wireless Stereo Headset. It sounds incredible and provides completely wireless game and chat audio. The downside is it requires you to plug a small USB dongle into the PS4 USB port, and it also uses a small USB cable to recharge the headset's built-in battery. That uses up all the USB ports on the PS4, so you have to remove the recharging cable if you want to plug-in a USB thumb drive to download gameplay video recordings.
I recommend every PS4 owner also purchase a Playstation Plus membership because they give you 2 free games each month and offer discounts on lots of other games. In addition, a Playstation Plus membership is required to participate in multiplayer matches on the PS network.

This sequel is better than the original Thor movie in almost every way. Thor was always a favorite comic book hero in my childhood, and this movie doesn't disappoint.

What's great about it: It works and doesn't crash
What's not so great: Twitch shooter with limited depth to gameplay
This game is good at being a shooter, but the small team size and limited game modes with useless AI minions as cannon fodder quickly become boring. Combine boring gameplay with a poor matchmaking system, and I lost all desire to keep playing.

Is it compatible with a PS4?
No. This is a 3.5" drive for desktop computers. The PS4 requires a 2.5" drive usually designated as a laptop computer hard drive and the drive itself must be no thicker than 9mm. This currently restricts you to a 2TB hard drive made by Seagate as all other manufacturers and higher capacity drives are too thick to fit in the PS4.

Does this TV have an RJ45 port for high speed Ethernet or just WIFI? If only WIFI, is it AC? If Ethernet, is it 1000BPS?
The KU6300 does have an ethernet jack, but I don't know if it supports Gbps or not. My cable internet service is 50Mbps so at even 100Mbps, the ethernet jack would have twice the bandwidth than is available to stream from netflix or amazon prime :-)
I don't use the wifi in my KU6300 so I can't comment on it's speed or specs.

Does this tv broadcast in 3d?
The KU6300 does not have 3D capabilities.

What is the main difference between this model and UN55KS8000 that explains why the cost for the later is $600 more?
The KSxxxx models have much better picture than the KUxxxx models. Read reviews from experts at rtings dot com. I bought a KU6300 and it has a very good picture, but the KS models are even better if you can justify the price difference.

will this tv work with xbox one s with 4k side bc xbox one requires hdr 10 idk if this has it or not
Yes, the Samsung KU6300 supports HDR10, but the tv does not provide enough color gamut to actually benefit from HDR according to experts at rtings dot com
