LG - 1.5 Cu. Ft. Mid-Size Microwave - Stainless steel
LG LCRT1513ST Microwave: This LG microwave's sleek, modern exterior complements any kitchen décor, and the display is packed with functions that make it a breeze to cook or defrost your favorite meals.
I bought the LG LCRT1513ST Microwave after my beloved Sharp counter-top unit gave up without warning. I quickly ran to Bestbuy store and picked this unit out of the bunch.
Pros: Compact size Simplistic design Stainless steel looking (stainless steel in appearance only not in material) Easy to clean interior -- has non-white non-stick coating. A great change from the traditional white interior found on almost every other microwaves. It did not hurt that it also boasts of energy saving features too.
Cons: No lighted keypad. The only means of light from the front panel is the Timer/clock LCD. Light from the LCD is so low that you will have to turn on kitchen light just to see the 30-seconds Quick key for a quick warm up. Basically, you can't walk up to the unit and punch in some numbers on the keypad because you won't find your around the options.

I'm not sure what the inside is made of. However, I can tell you that it is non-stick easy to wipe coating similar to what they use on some non-sticking pots and pans.

One reviewer said that this unit requires a dedicated 20 amp receptacle Is this true??
I have not run into power problem such as my circuit breaker tripping with this LG 1.5 Cu. Microwave oven. My previous unit by Sharp frequently tripped the breaker when used with a toaster that shares the same breaker.
