I enjoy the RCA amplified indoor off -Air HDTV Antenna eliminate static and the antenna amplified boosts for signal power is very good for the quality that improved the picture on my old Tv.

do I need RCA cables or can I use coax cable. Sound on tv will not go up.

No it work out fine for me.
