Its a USB drive about the size of a human thumb.
Its black with red accents. the USB connector slides in and out for when you are not using it so its less likely to encrusted with pocket lint. The one I bought is eight gigabytes. I used it to make a bootable install copy of windows 7.

This Antennas Direct DB2E long-range digital TV antenna features an 11.8dBi peak gain and a beamwidth of 60° to receive clear DTV signals across the UHF spectrum.

Amplified? Multiple TVs?

It appears this antenna is not amplified, meaning I don't have to plug it into a 110v wall socket... correct? If so, that's awesome. Also, can I put a splitter on it and run two coaxial cables to each of my two TVs? I'm in Las Vegas, about 25 miles from most all the signal towers on Mt. Potasi, but have been having poor results with the cheaper (yet amplified) antennas that say they have a 35+ mile range. The antenna would be mounted in the small 3ft attic crawl space of my condo unit, although I am on the second floor. Thanks for the help!

It is not amplified and does not use power. The manual says the range is 35 miles. It will still get results beyond that though. You're not supposed to split it but it wouldn't hurt to try. That may affect how long a cable run it can tolerate. Hanging it Inside is fine but an exterior wall will be better than an interior one. The higher the better but not beyond the 50 foot cable length. After that and you'll want an amplifier.

Signal Booster for Splitter

One of the reviewers mentioned adding a signal booster when hooking up the antenna to a splitter for multiple TVs. Any recommendations?

The manual says not to split the signal. If it were me I'd probably still try it and see. The combined length of the cable run may be a factor though.

Line of sight and distance still matter. The closer you are to the broadcast source the less line of sight is a factor.

No. Its flat so you hang it sort of like a small poster.

Will this work on a older TV ?

20 yr old Sony TV...Will this TV antenna work on older TV ? Old antenna outside, need new installed too Cost ?

It uses the same type of connection as cable and sattelite uses to connect to the tv so if you can connect a cable box this will hookup to it. If the tv has the really old uhf/vhf connectors with th dual spade lugs for each frequency you'll need an adapter. Older TVs that are analog only will still need a digital converter box regardless of the antenna.

Can the existing cable from a Dish Network be used with this system?

Yes it can. But it says that it should be 50 feet or less

It will work for both however most relevant digital broadcast television is on the UHF frequency.

Would this work in an attic 70 miles from signal?

We have a summer house on an island. Also can even an unhandy novice install it?

70 miles is beyond the claimed range which is 35 miles. It may still pull in some channels but At that distance you're probably going to need a rooftop antenna. It is very easy to install.
