Can I use two?

I already have a similar one (has wifi) downstairs that covers most of the house. An upstairs office isn't covered great by the wifi but it has a coax jack. Could I use a second one there for a wired connection? Can two of these be on the same network?
Negative, you can not have two of them on the same service. You would probably be better getting a wifi extender. If I am not mistaken you have pay for additional service from your ISP to enable 2 modems, because it's like having 2 different internet feeds

Will it work for dish network?

i have dish network for my cable...and I wanted to know if it will work for internet
You would have to check with Dish Network, but I would think that would be negative.

I don't have an eSATA port, and USB2 is rather small.

This did not work with my hard drive that I pulled out if my Sony Vaio PC that is 10 yrs old. Mac will not recognize??? Box says it is comparable with

The hard drive will have to be reformatted for the MAC to read it.
