We did some manual reviews and asked friends for advice. Everyone kept coming back to this. We were hesitant after having a Dyson but didn’t want to spend a fortune again. We have been very pleased w the power and maneuverability of this vacuum at nearly 1/3 of the price of a Dyson. Easy to switch between floor and carpet. Even our kids can easily vacuum with it. Great purchase, have not been disappointed. We’ve been using it for several months.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was very surprised at how well this vacuum worked being so lightweight. It was great for hardwoods and carpet. Previously owned a Dyson but didn't want to spend a fortune on another. After a few months one of the small rollers fell off. Despite multiple attempts it never stayed in place but it didn't affect the use so we just dealt with it. Now it has been a little over a year and the motor to the roller no longer works. Likely a faulty switch but regardless not the quality I expected from the Hoover brand. We got it on sale and it did well for awhile. I guess we need to spend more to get a better one next time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have a plush soft carpet and my Shark Navigator is stuck there. I can not push it. I love Navigator but it is not working on high pile carpet. Do you have any model that work on plush, soft carpet?

It will Work on plush carpet but you must reduce the amount of suction by opening up the vent on the handle some. Works for us.

Is this vacum waterproof ?

No it is not meant to be a wet vac.

Will there be a problem picking up lots of human hair with this vacuum?

No problems, but like other vacuums it gets stuck around the brush roller. Clean it off w/ scissors every few uses and you'll be fine

How does it do on dog hair?

I have a dog who sheds an awful lot in the summer. I need something that will pick that up.
It did surprisingly well for my two dogs on both hardwoods and carpet. After a year our brush motor went out so it no longer picks up from carpet but works well on the wood floor still.
