What's great about it: Radar & GPS in one, and alerts you when you are over the speed limit
What's not so great: GPS navagation database & options
I purchased this mainly for the Radar detector, but I liked the option of the GPS for the same amount of money as the Escort 9500. One of my favorite features is the "Over the Limit" voice alert. A few cons: Portable/Movable (vehicles on side of road with video & radar inside) speed detection traps are not detected at all, the GPS is very slow to pan around or zoom in & out, the posted speed limit is unavailable on quite a few side streets, it goes off with a lot of K & Ka bands and I do not see cops around. I have had this for over a month now and seems to be working like it should, I haven't gotten any tickets & it has alerted me when cops are around trying to bust people. If you are buying this for a GPS DO NOT, buy a Garmin they are the best.

What's great about it: clarity
What's not so great: not sending notification/capture shots
Is very easy to set up. I purchased two cameras, this one and a cheaper model (DCS-931L) that is only day vision. I put my camera's in the front window of my house. There is a green light that stays light in the back of the camera constantly, at night it reflects the white blinds in the window so the night vision is useless. I'm thinking about putting some black tape to cover the green light. The website associated with the cameras doesn't always want to work for me, or the cameras get disconnected. This model does not send notifications even after resetting & re-saving settings on line numerous times. The cheaper model does & have no problems. Not sure what the problem is with this model, could be my internet service or the user. I would not buy another with this model number. When I can, I will buy a completely different system & brand that is more reliable.

What's great about it: accurate warnings & red light camera warnings
What's not so great: none
Bought this after two speeding tickets. I hated to spend the $500+ on a radar but after lots of research Escort seemed to be the best in the business. This model has built automatic updates including Red light camera notifications, which proved to be very accurate & helpful on my road trip from New Orleans to Dallas & back. The less expensive models have this as an option, and the models under $300 do not even offer it as an option. If I'm spending the money I want the help all the way around, I will spend the extra $200 for the red light camera warning. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

What's great about it: 2-in-one product
I love love love this phone! I was very hesitant about buying such a large phone, but I don't regret it at all. I actually saved money by purchasing this phone. It's a phone and a tablet in one, no extra money spent on 2 different devices. It works fast, very easy to use & learn, gorgeous picture & images, lot's of memory, fun apps, plenty free apps, durable (yes I have dropped it 2x so far), love my google maps & navigation features, I access yahoo & google email, quick settings at the pull down menu...there's just so much about this phone that's great. I can go all day with out charging the battery, some may think that's not that great but seriously it's a smartphone, depending on how much you use it depends on how long it will last, most smartphone batteries are about the same. Lastly, I'm ok with the large phone because it fits in both my front & back pockets, I wear a size 0, now you know why it's the bomb!

What's not so great: I part tore-rip-broke..?
No problems, did the water test and all was good. Used it for a couple of weeks and the round plastic part that covered the camera lens broke. Not sure how, but it wasn't waterproof anymore. The good news is, I went to LifeProof's website and they honored the warranty. They sent a brand new one & I had to return the damaged one. No cost to me. It did take several weeks to receive the new one, but at least I got a new one. Can't complain yet.

Is this quiet and discreet to where no one would hear it recording?
No noise, but there is a green light on the back that is noticeable during the day.
