This machine was recommended by Consumer Reports magazine. But I didn't stop there. I asked my Facebook community which vacuum they have that they absolutely love. Overwhelmingly, the answer was Shark, followed closely by Dyson. According to Consumer Reports, Shark has a much better record of not needing to be repaired than Dyson. That, combined with the fact that it is much cheaper, and I was sold!! A few friends had this particular model and raved about it, so I took the chance on it. Best Buy definitely had the best price I could find, by a long shot! I've had the vacuum about 6 weeks now, and absolutely love it!! I highly recommend it! It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and picks up from the front and the sides of the vacuum. The light is a nice bonus when you're working in corners or under baseboards. And the wand tool is very easy to use. A wonderful purchase overall!

Is this vacum waterproof ?

Waterproof? Like submerging it in water? No.

If you mean will it pick up standing water, I'd say no. Get a shop-vac. That's what they're designed for.

Does the professional label mean it can stand up to using this commercially?
