The customer service I received at Best Buy in Mountain View was excellent. The deliver guys were friendly and courteous.
Overall, the Samsung front load washer is great. It is fairly quiet; it cleans the clothes well; and it is steady even with large loads. I did have a large, uneven load, and it handled it perfectly. Rather than continuing with the cycle, it stopped and alerted us that our load was uneven.
Our prior front loader washer would have just kept spinning. And in the process, it would have made loud stomping noises as it "walked" all over our laundry area.
We have had our Samsung front load washer for only about 3 weeks. And so far so good. At this point, I would recommend it. I just hope it last at least 5 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small vs large load settings?

I was washing a load last weekend and the drum had a lot of room left, I realized I could put a larger load in this than my last washer. Is there a setting for small vs large loads so that it puts in less water when doing a smaller load? I am not sure if it just automatically adjusts based on the weight of the clothces inside or if it is an actual setting.
It seems to have a built-in scale. Because when I had lighter loads, the cycle time dramatically decreased compared to larger loads.

how long is a typical wash cycle?

i'm coming from a very old top loader but ive heard the wash cycles can be quite long in these newer front loaders. any help is appreciated!
Our previous GE front load washer would take about an hour for the following settings:
Load Size = Medium-Large
Water = Tap/Cold
Soil Level = Normal
Spin Speed = High
Prewash = No
Extra Rinse = No

With the Samsung, it is taking about 2 hours with above condition. But the cycle time does shorten with a lighter load. So it must have some sort of built-in scale to determine the size of the load and adjusts accordingly.
