What's great about it: Most outside noise disappears and sound is incredibly clear.
What's not so great: Nothing. These headphones are amazing.
I bought these to listen to music and movies, particularly on planes. I've tried several other headphones prior to this, but the sound of the plane's engines always came through. Then I bought these. The first time I used them, I was shocked at how good they were. The engine noise was not only gone, completely, but I could hear every nuance of every song. It was the sound quality one expects from Bose, while completely removing the engine noise and most other external sounds as well. There was a young woman with a screaming baby two seats away and I didn't hear a peep. I couldn't be happier with these headphones. They are totally worth every penny.

Is it compatible with iphone and ipad wall chargers ?

No. I have an iPod and it has a lightening pin connection where it connects to the iPod. Typically, Apple products (iPods, iPads, etc) have either a 30 pin connection (older devices) or a lightening pin connection (newer devices). The Bose QC 20i headphones does not have a 30-pin or lightening pin connection.

motorcycle use and noise-cancellation performance

Basically, according to the reliable and independent review above, plus all the comments at the bottom, they do not seem to block wind noise at all and also engine noise well. Why did Bose not engineer them for motorcycle use?
I don't know about wind noise, but they totally block out a plane's engine noise. I mean: completely!
