Good charger but the led light is a little annoying in the car especially if it's in viewing distance at night.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Watch tv anywhere
What's not so great: Had to pay $15 each for iPad and iPhone apps
Fairly straight forward to hook up. Works as promised and if you have fast enough connections the compressed HD video looks pretty awesome using a roku3 on an HD TV.
Watch out as many cable companies are not allowing access to HDMI sources without being encrypted which means the HDMI connection won't work on the Slingbox. The easy way around is to use to analog component signals. Make sure you have unencrypted sources or component hookups before using!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the box use home internet data when watching the slingbox from another location?

I live in Alaska, and we don't have unlimited internet like there is in the Lower 48 states. If my husband is out of town for work, in the lower 48, and accesses the slingbox, of course he will be using the internet in his location. However, during the time that he is watching our DVR, would our data usage at home, where the slingbox is connected, go up as well?
Yup the slingbox will transmit info anytime you're accessing it.
