yes you can print in Black only just select what ever you wish to print.
select Print.(this is your computer settings)
look for the setting Gray Scale and select it.

Yes it is supposed to but will require you to do an initial set up.

Does this unit have a keypad for dialing a FAX number and if so, where is it located?
yes it is on the touch screen just touch the fax picture then the send now picture and there it is.
