If you are looking for a router that will travel all over your home....this isn't the router for you. I live in a home and it has five bedroom that are upstairs and then a big living room, kitchen, basement and dining room. The router was place in the living room, which allowed me to travel to the kitchen but when I would start to go upstairs or down stairs the signal started to weaken. Once I was completely upstairs it would cut in and out. So for me it was aggravating because I thought it would allow me to use it all around the home.
The set up for the machine wasn't too hard since it came with instructions. I couldn't get my router to work wirelessly in the beginning but I did plug it into my computer and took that route to get it up and going. (FYI if you have to go this route having a MaC computer will be difficult since it doesn't have a place to plug the E-internet cord.)
I would only recommend to a friend once I disclosed the router needing an extender to reach all around the home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can this modem replace the CenturyLink provided modem/router for my internet needs?

It sure can but just know if you live in a big two story home, this modem doesn't extend everywhere. I have issues with the modem working upstairs if I leave it hooked up downstairs.

I have high-speed Internet service provided by my cable company, Sudden Link. They lease me an ARRIS 802.11n modem/router. However, I have a large, two-story home, and half of it has poor coverage with that equipment. How can I expand my coverage?

Just a heads up this is a great modem, however it would need a extender as well. This product doesn't reach all over a two story home. I currently just purchased this and I am having issues with it not extending to the upstairs.
