I'm sure there will be many long and thorough reviews. I did significant research before I bought this plasma TV. Panasonic is out of the game and I wanted a great picture and did not need any of the "Smart TV" bells and whistles. Between Roku, Chromecast and my smart DVD player those bases are more than covered. This TV is a winner, great plasma picture at a very modest price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it include netflix, pandora and amazon instant video
no, this is a "dumb" TV with a great picture. Get a Roku box or Chromecast to enable those services.

Can I connect a DVD player to this TV?

I'm confused with the various inputs/outputs liste for Samsung 60in Model: PN60F5300AFXZA - can I connect an 'old school' (10 year old) DVD player to this TV?
