I'm pleased with my Dropcam Pro because it's a cross-platform and an affordable video security surveillance solution for our family home.
Initially, I placed it at our (2nd floor) bedroom side window and we were able to monitor the front side of our house property.
Later, we decided to install it on the front entrance door (back side of the front door) and pointed the Dropcam Pro through the door peep hole (window).
This gave us two monitoring security services.
1. The ability to monitor the front property of our house.
2. The ability to monitor our main house entrance.
This was an excellent solution for my family because when our front doorbell rings we can easily and quickly identify our visitor by using their app (Dropcam: WIndows/iOS/Mac OS X/Android). We installed the Dropcam app in our family laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Save time. Easy setup. Solid camera. HD/720p is fine. Made and supported by Google/NEST.

converter box ask for pin which i never set all content blocked what can I do?
I don't know why it's asking for a PIN number.
But you might want to try to reset the box to original factory setting.
Remote Control => Menu => Setting Configuration => System Reset - Return system to factory setting.

on some older tvs
I have a 1980 RCA only has the hookup for coax will it work on this one
You should be able to connect this digital converter box to your RCA TV.

Auto Power Off
My unit auto powers off, and I selected the check box off so that it wouldn't do that, why is this happening??
You can change the "Power" setting on this digital converter box.
Remote Control => "Menu" button ==> Select "Setting- Configuration" ==> Select "Power Saver - Turn off power automatically" - You have 4 different power selections. See Pixs.

Is this a stand alone unit or do I need a seperate Antenna amplifer unit as well?
A1. Yes, this is a stand alone unit.
A2. Antenna amplifier - It works when it is connected to a standard HD Antenna. However, you might need an Antenna amplifier if your location is not close to TV transmitters. You can check by visiting this site: antennaweb.org

Does this box have analog pass-thru?
Yes, it does. There is a "Pass Through" button on the remote control. Please see photos.

This model vs Insignia NS-DXA1 and NS-DXA1APT
What are the differences or upgrades in this model to the Insignia NS-DXA1 and NS-DXA1APT? Thanks.
I don't know the difference but you should get the latest model (2015) which is the NS-DXA2. The NS-DXA1 is an old model.

I was wondering if this product has a microSD slot. If so, is it compatible up to 32GB?
