how do I upgrade and calibrate from my home computer

I have an older 8500 X50 passport radar detector and was wondering how I would go about downloading all upgrades and calbrations from my home computer
I haven't seen a place to update your radar detector, for some reason look on escorts websites and see if there's an update area. I have the newer model the black edition, but I haven't seen a place to update it.
