I tried to use this optical cable when I purchased my new sound bar since it was longer and looked like a better cable. I tried to stick the cable into the optical port and it would not click into the port. I tried over and over. Not sure if this cable was not tested before being packaged but I instead used the supplied cable that came with my sound bar and it sounded great. I returned the cable back to best buy. The cable felt like it was built with quality but wouldn't click into the port on either in the TV or the sound bar. The optical cable that came with the sound bar click into the port in TV and sound bar. I can't tell the difference in sound bar but I am pleased with the generic cable that came with my sound bar. My neighbors complained about the bass that came from subwoofer and the volume from my soundbar so I can rule out the generic optical cable being bad quality. You be the judge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good movie - fun entertainment

The movie is fun to watch and the main character plays his part very well. The main character is the guy from The Dark Knight who played 2 Face and he fits the part very well. Alot action and plot is decent, the 3D makes the movie entertaining. Which is the point to alot of movies to be entertaining and this one does deliver. You will recognize a few actors from UnderWorld but overall its fun and good movie

I purchased this sound bar not sure if I would like it with my movies.
The only sound bars i found in best buy were either 2.1 or 7.1 from what I found. I looked at the reviews of it and I went for it and for $247 (sale), I figured it would be a good deal. The rear speakers are wired but are connected to the wirerless subwoofer. I will admit the rear speakers is what sold me on this sound bar. Even movies that are encoded for 7.1 sound great too.

Bass and the Surround of the speakers work very well and sound good
Be careful, the bass will hit hard if set too high and neighbors will complain LOL (mine did)
Easy to setup
Able to pick up small sounds in movies than before
Surround speakers work very well to produce the Left to Right or vice versa sound effects in movies
Used the supplied Optic cable in box (generic) and sounds great
You can use a better optic cable if desire for the audiophile type of person
Even though there is not a LED screen on sound bar, bluetooth is easy to connect to every device.

Remote LED is not back lit - remedied this by using a flashlight app on my phone or a good source of bright light

Overall, 3D movies are even better with the sound bar. I still watch 2D movies and I feel like I am in a theatre. Avatar is encoded for 5.1 and its amazing to watch, very engrossing. It made all movies are now complete.
Note = All the volumes for the different settings using the remote is indicated by the LEDs on the sound bar

Needed the length to reach from my router which was on one side of the room to my 360 and there was some extra length. I was able to hide it so it would look decent so I could do some cable management later in the future.

The sound bar does have a HDMI port and a Optical as well. There are other ports as well for just about any device out there

Hdmi or optical
What is better sound quality hdmi or optical wire on vizio sound bar
Optical cable. Most recent TV have the connection but you will still have a good sound using HDMI if you dont have optical. You would have to be a audiophile to hear the difference. I used the optical cable that was supplied with the sound bar and no complaints on the sound it produces. So basically, if your TV has optical port, use the optical cable.
