Works perfectly. I love the feature that knows when you have left your key or phone inside. It won't let you lock yourself out.

What's great about it: Knowing that it was true
What's not so great: The heroes mostly died
As good or better than the book. Mark Wahlberg was perfect to play Marcus Littrell. This one is a keeper for anyone's collection.

Do you have to have the app running on your smart phone in order to unlock the door?

Do you have to have the app running on your phone every time you open the door, or can you have it in your pocket?
App is passive. In your pocket within 15' of the door. And phone must be on the outside of the door.
