What's great about it: Great size for small hands
What's not so great: Who can read these microscopic instruction manuals?
So far I've only taken still shots, but they come out really nicely. (Unfortunately, the automatically loaded program for downloading them to my computer only seems to speak German.) Since I don't take photographs very often, I'll have to study the online manual for a long time and practice a lot before I'll be comfortable using it in all its modes . I'm sure a more experienced - and technically advanced - user could jump right in with both feet. First camcorder I've handled that's comfortable in small hands. Some plastic parts make me fear for their longevity.

is the camera format/formats compatible with windows 8 and/or Irfanview?

I download still shots on Windows 8.

What is included with this camcorder?

The description says that the camcorder, rechargeable battery (IA-BP105R), and owner's manual are included. But according to the Q&A, the camcorder comes with a USB cable and adapter that allows you to plug it into the wall. Which one is correct?
Cables were included, but you have to buy the special memory card separately.
