I like the style and sound quality. However it lags when it comes to noise cancelling. I don't think it is worth for $350+ but it definitely worth for 159$ :-)

The title on the titanium colored Studio 2 headphones says they are On-Ear. Is this correct?

They should have printed by mistake. It should be over the ear.

These are new correct?

They are brand new. They sell it for low price because beats released next version of studio 2 wirless head phones with significant improvements with same cost.

If the headphones batteries are dead, will these still work if I use the cord?

It doesn't work. You need some charge to make it work even when you use the cord.

whats the difference between on ear and over the ear

On ear headphones are smaller in size and it sits on your ears. Where as over the ear head phone will be big enough to cover your ears and it will be comfortable to be worn for longer hours.

Why Chromecast if most streaming services are supported by my TiVo and DVD player?

Between my aging TiVo Premier and Panasonic DVD player, I have built-in apps to stream Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, YouTube, Cinema Now, Amazon Instant Video, and others.

Why would I otherwise use Chromecast other than directly displaying occasional live content from a PC or Android device?

Just checking to see if I'm missing something in my understanding! Thanks.
you may mirror your desktop screen using chromecast, this facility is not supported by DVD players

Direct to Power or AC/DC brick between?

Does this tv plug directly into the outlet or does it have a ac/dc converter (ie a brick) between the tv and the outlet.
It has a brick between the tv and the outlet.
