After having the product for just over a week it seems to be overheating and won't play without skipping back 30 seconds or more every so often

number of devices needed

Do I have to buy one of these devices for every tv in the house (ex- 4 TV's need 4 roku devices)
Yes they are a per tv device unless you are wanting to move it around. Make sure you have a good internet connection too if you are planing on using them on several tvs at once

Apt.complex just offers dish services

I live in a apartment complex tht just offers dish. Direct tv, infinity, verizon etc. can not be offered here. Will this device work in this situation?
This device runs off your internet no need for a dish. But if you want a large selection of good movies and tv shows you will need to pay for Netflix and or Hulu they are both very cheap
