This printer was easy to setup wirelessly, and it meets my expectations. It's a little slow, but that can be expected for the price I paid and it being an inkjet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What can be said? It's an ink cartridge and it works. I do prefer the XL cartridges though because they are a better value for the output.

I can't quite offer an unbiased review because I wasn't able to fully test the unit. It overloaded the breaker for the room I placed it in, which caused the breaker to trip every time it attempted to print. I decided to go back to an inkjet printer to avoid the power consumption.
I would recommend this to a friend!

my printer uses hp 61, the regular, if I buy the xl would it fit?

Yes, either cartridge will work as long as the main part number (61) matches. I have used both, but use the XL exclusively for the output per price.
