I've been using this universal remote for about a month now and while I'm happy that it does replace all my other remotes, function for function, it seems like you must always keep it docked and charging, otherwise, the battery only lasts 2 days of normal use. Kind of a bummer...waiting for a smart hub that can be controlled by Siri or Alexa
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Apple - MacBook Pro with Retina display - 15.4" Display - 16GB Memory - 512GB Flash Storage - Silver - Silver
With fourth-generation Intel Core processors, the latest graphics, and faster flash storage, the incredibly advanced MacBook Pro with Retina display moves even further ahead in performance and battery life.* *Compared with the previous generation.

What could I say that hasn't already been said? My MacBook Pro: 2.5GHZ i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. This thing flies through photo and video editing and with the new Thunderbolt 2 driving external raid arrays, it is just astonishing how fast it lets me finish ALL of my projects. But this is WHY you buy an Apple, or at least it used to be. With the newest incarnation of OSX, Yosemite, there is much more usability for it as a regular everyday computer. There's continuity and handoff , which so far have worked flawlessly on my Mac and iPads but YMMV. I like all this integration so much that I will add an iPhone 6 Plus to test and see if it can finally replace a Note device--I suspect it won't but it is intriguing. Anyway, back to the Mac; I would unequivocally recommend this top dog Mac to anyone into photo, video and/or audio editing. If you are not into these, then ANY MacBook Pro will do very nicely. If portability is an issue, then get the MacBook Air. There are very good reasons why these are consistently among the very best laptops money can buy. Everything is well-thought out, elegantly designed, and it just plain works 99.9% of the time. My experience has been that these laptops keep getting better with every new iteration and I can't wait for the next step in its evolution.
